Mobile Home Removal in Cullman, AL
The old single-wide by the barn or the double-wide the new house replaced: torn down on site, loaded and hauled off, with the ground graded for a new home, a shop or grass.

Old mobile homes taken off farm ground and house lots
Nobody plans on keeping an old mobile home forever. It was the first home on the place, or the one a hired hand lived in, or where the kids stayed until the house was built. Now it is storage with a bad roof. Around Cullman these sit on farm ground, on town-edge lots and on the lake side of the county, and they all come to the same point: it will not move and it cannot stay.
We demolish the home where it sits with a machine and load it onto trucks. All of it goes to a permitted site. Steel and aluminum are usually separated for scrap. The porch, steps, skirting and any carport or lean-to are part of the job. When the home is gone we pick up the block piers, fill the low spots and grade the site so it drains.
What happens next decides the finish. For a new home, the pad can be cut, filled and packed on the same trip. For a shop or barn, see shop and barn pads. If it is going back to pasture, it is left smooth. Cullman is inside our service area and we take jobs here. The main mobile home removal and demolition page explains the whole job.

What to sort out first in Cullman County
Registration and the county office
A manufactured home in Cullman County is on the county's books, either registered each year or assessed with the land. The Alabama Department of Revenue says manufactured home registration is due October 1 and delinquent after November 30. Before a teardown, call the Cullman County Revenue Commissioner's office, ask which office carries your home, what they need to close it out and whether anything is owed on it.
Title and lender
A mobile home has paperwork a house does not. The Alabama Department of Revenue says 2000 and newer manufactured homes carry an Alabama title and 1999 and older models are exempt. If you hold the title, keep it somewhere safe, because the county may ask for it. If there is still a loan against the home, the lender has a say and should hear from you before the teardown is booked. Our guide on getting rid of an old mobile home in Alabama puts the steps in order.
In the city, and by the lake
Inside the Cullman city limits, the City of Cullman Building Inspection Department issues and tracks building permits, so ask that office what it wants before a home comes down. On the west side of the county, Lewis Smith Lake is managed by Alabama Power, which says work in the lakebed or in its flood easement could require a permit. If the home sits near the water, call the shoreline office too. More on our local work is on the Cullman land clearing page.

Who handles mobile home registration in Cullman County when a home is torn down?
Start with the Cullman County Revenue Commissioner's office and ask which county office carries your home. Call before the teardown and ask what they need to take the home off their records and whether anything is owed. If you have the title, keep it until they tell you what to do with it.
Can you tear down a mobile home on a farm near Cullman?
Yes. A home beside a barn or out in a field is normal work. Tell us how a truck gets to it, whether there are gates or cattle to work around, and where the septic tank and field lines are so the machine and trucks stay off them.
Can I burn an old mobile home on my land in Cullman County?
The Alabama Forestry Commission says a permitted burn must not contain construction material, household garbage or other material ADEM prohibits. A mobile home is wood, insulation, wiring and sheet metal on a steel frame, so on our jobs all of it is loaded and hauled to a permitted site.
Do you remove mobile homes on Smith Lake lots in Cullman County?
Yes, we take jobs on the lake side of the county. Lake lots are steep, so the drive and the turnaround decide how the job runs. Send photos. Alabama Power manages the Smith Lake shoreline, so ask its shoreline office before any work close to the water.
